Petoody uses three simple ratings to help customers compare treats quickly: Pure, Simple and Curated.
Pure
Pure is our cleanest rating. The pet food is usually single-ingredient or very minimal. It contains little to no unnecessary extras and are easy to understand at a glance.
Examples may include dried meat, fish, organs, hay-based treats or simple natural chews.
Simple
Simple pet food still has a clean and recognisable ingredient profile, but it may include a small number of functional additions. These ingredients might help with texture, fibre, freshness, nutrition or palatability.
Simple pet products are a good option for customers who want clean products but do not need every treat to be single ingredient.
Curated
Curated pet food has a more complex ingredient list or may include more processing-support ingredients. These products are still reviewed and selected by Petoody, but we label them more clearly so customers know they are not as minimal as Pure or Simple options.
Curated products may still suit many pets. They are often a complete and balanced nutritional product and may offer variety, enrichment, convenience or specific benefits.
At Petoody, when we review these products, we are looking for products with no unnecessary fillers or ingredients, and with the main ingredient (meat for dogs and cats, and hay for pocket pets) being the main ingredient. The rating simply helps customers understand the ingredient profile before they buy.
Our rating system is designed to make shopping easier, not more overwhelming.
